VICTORIA TRUMMER
Co-Owner
A Clifton, Virginia native, Victoria Trummer returned home with a dream—and turned it into a lasting legacy. After building her foundation in New York City’s fast-paced restaurant scene, Victoria and her husband Stefan opened Trummer’s on Main in 2009, creating what has become an award-winning cornerstone of the Northern Virginia dining community. Sixteen years later, Trummer’s continues to shape the local food scene with thoughtful hospitality, unforgettable events, and a strong sense of place. In 2015, the Trummers expanded their vision with the opening of Trummer’s Coffee & Wine Bar, now celebrating ten years as a beloved neighborhood gathering spot.
Victoria’s culinary journey truly took shape in New York City, where she worked at acclaimed restaurants including Citarella the Restaurant, Chef Rick Moonen’s RM, and Compass Restaurant alongside then-rising chef John Fraser. It was at Citarella where she met her future husband, Stefan, an Austrian native whose refined service style, passion for hospitality, cocktail-crafting expertise, and unmistakable accent immediately stood out. What began as a professional friendship soon grew into a partnership rooted in a shared love of food, travel, and epicurean adventure. Newly married and deeply inspired, the two lived simply in New York so they could spend their time—and money—doing what they loved most: dining out and learning from the best.
Together, the Trummers draw inspiration from both travel and family. Stefan’s family has owned the same restaurant in Austria for three generations, instilling a deep respect for food, tradition, and guest relationships. Victoria’s travels throughout Europe further shaped her approach to hospitality, drawing from regions rich in culinary history and pride—elements that continue to influence the experience at Trummer’s today.
Outside the restaurant, Victoria is a devoted sports mom to two boys, born in 2011 and 2014, who already share their parents’ love for cooking, entertaining, and dining out. When the family gathers around the table, Wiener Schnitzel is a favorite—typically enjoyed with multiple helpings of lingonberry jam. When she’s not cheering from the sidelines, Victoria loves to travel as much as her husband will allow, always seeking new inspiration to bring back home to Clifton.
